Orientation
Year 7
Year 7 students participate in an orientation week, providing them with an opportunity to ease into the Secondary College. During this week, students will be made aware of the College's expectations, explore and College Values and Code of Conduct and the importance of being a Calvary Culture Keeper. Students are also involved in practical activities like onboarding devices, understanding timetables, meeting and greeting class teachers and finding their way around the College.
Year 8 to 12
On the first day of the school year, students in years 8 to 12 will undertake our orientation presentation in and extended PC class which serves as a reminder of our Calvary Culture, College Values, Code of Conduct and expectations. The orientation also covers important policies e.g. uniform and mobile phone, and allows students the opportunity to ask questions and receive updates on new initiatives in the College.
New students commencing at the College throughout the term will be invited to a lunch with our Director of Secondary who will step through these expectations with them directly.

Attendance
Our preferred method of reporting student absences from the College is through Parent Lounge via the MyCalvary App. You can also email away@calvary.qld.edu.au or call the Absentee Hotline on 4722 9206. If the College has not received notification of an absence and the student is not present at the College, an automated email or text message will be issued to parents/guardians. Should there be any discrepancies at the time of receiving the notification, please contact the College.
