Performing and Creative Arts

In addition to classroom experiences in Drama, Music and Visual Art, the College offers an extensive extra-curricular Performing and Creative Arts Program.  The program provides the opportunity for both Primary and Secondary students to develop their creative talents further in individual and group lessons in Voice, Speech, Dance and a variety of instruments including Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Drums, Guitar and Piano.

The tutoring program is run by skilled and experienced tutors, allowing students the opportunity to participate in:

  • 30 minute weekly lessons (30 to 60 minutes for Speech depending on class size) to develop their gifts and talents;
  • Various ensembles, subject to availability;
  • Several performance opportunities throughout the year;
  • Grade 3 Strings Program or Grade 4 Band Program (students are selected by aptitude for suitability for this program - places are limited).

The program is delivered in the College's Performing and Creative Arts Centre.  The Centre incorporates a number of multi-functional spaces including a large music theory and practice room, six music tutoring rooms, ensemble rooms and recording facilities.
