In 2021, all year 3, 5, 7 and 9 students at Calvary will participate in the NAPLAN Online assessments along with most other Queensland schools. This has been a roll out of participation and preparation since 2016. Throughout 2019, our college spent a significant amount of time preparing the students, as well as the teaching and support staff, in the administration of the tests using the NAP (National Assessment Program) online environment. We were very pleased with the overwhelming success of the School Readiness Test conducted. With the cancellation of the tests nationwide in 2020, we are now beginning to prepare our students and team in the administration of the tests for this year. Please see the attached documents for further information about the tests this year. If you are interested in visiting a public practice site for the online tests follow this link and select the relevant year level and test https://www.nap.edu.au/online-... .
Below are some key dates for the 2021 event:
- May 11th to May 21st – Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 NAPLAN testing window – students complete four assessments in this timeframe - writing, reading, numeracy and conventions of language assessments.
- Year 3 do not do the Writing task online – this is still a paper version of the task.
