College Principal's Welcome

Hello and welcome to Calvary Christian College, Townsville.  Founded in 1978, Calvary Christian College is an independent day school providing excellence in Christian education from 2 years old to Year 12. We believe education is a partnership between home and school—working together to nurture confident, purposeful and Christ-centred young people, ready to influence the world for good.

~ Luke 2:52 ‘And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men.’

Our vision is simple: to equip students so they may influence the world for good. Through a balanced, holistic and innovative approach, we focus on academic, spiritual, social and physical development. Calvary Christian College has a well-established reputation for providing a caring learning environment where every child is encouraged to grow in character and purpose. The high academic standards and character of our students is demonstrated in their successful entry into tertiary, vocational education and future employment. This preparation is key to ensure our graduates become people of influence.

~ Our culture is strong… Calvary Strong.

At the heart of Calvary are our values of faith, humility, persistence, generosity and excellence. These values shape our culture and inspire students to live out College’s verse of “well done good and faithful servant” – Matthew 25:21. Our culture is built around these values, where students understand what and how each value shapes their identity in Christ.

Calvary Christian College is more than a school—it is a learning community where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive and achieve their very best. From innovative learning to vibrant arts and sporting programs, every child will discover and fulfil their God-given potential.
