Teaching School Enrolment

We are excited to hear that you are called to teach. Teaching is a noble profession, and we seek applications for people who love Jesus, love children and love learning.

The decision to embark on this journey is important and we look forward to hearing your story and sharing the vision of the Calvary Teaching School with you. To select the best and brightest teachers, we have a staged application approach where you will have the opportunity to share your vision as you engage with the Calvary Teaching School team.

How to Apply

Read through the below five stages for information on how to apply:

Expression of Interest

Submit an Expression of Interest and one of our friendly team members will contact you with more information about the program and application process.

Submission of Application

To begin your Calvary Teaching School application journey, applicants must complete both a Calvary Teaching School Application Form, and the appropriate QTAC application documents relevant to the course you wish to undertake with Christian Heritage College.

The application process will lead to two possible outcomes. If the applicant is unsuccessful, they will be contacted by the Calvary Teaching School Team and given feedback on their application journey. Successful applications will be offered an initial interview.

Interview

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a panel interview with the Calvary Teaching School Coordinator and Principal and either the director of Primary or Secondary College as appropriate.

Successful applicants will be invited to undertake the Stage 4 Small Group Activity. Unsuccessful applicants will be provided with feedback.

Small Group Activity

Applicants will conduct a small group reading activity within a Primary classroom. The resources and planning for this are provided. The purpose of this activity is to observe the applicant's ability to engage with and build relationship with students.

Successful applicants will be notified of their placement and Mentor Teacher and issued with a Letter of Offer and supporting documentation. Offers at this stage remain conditional upon successful application to our Tertiary Provider, Christian Heritage College. Pre-Service Teachers will meet their Mentor and attend a training session following unconditional approval.
