RollCall leverages the latest software technologies to allow the school to track the buses on school routes with the time, date and location. This gives parents visibility to see their children through a Parent App. It also gives you the ability to amend your bus booking.

In the coming weeks, the College will send out a link to all Bus Families, to subscribe to the RollCall parent App. The welcome email will have the instructions on how to use the App.

If you have any questions or queries in regards to this, feel free to connect with the Transport team by email, Bus@calvary.qld.edu.au.

Cancellation of the Calvary Fair

After careful consideration, the college has decided to cancel the spring fair this year. Whilst this is disappointing, the decision was made in the best interests of the Calvary Community, and principally the college team. Due to COVID 19 there has been many difficulties managing significant numbers of personnel away and inviting 7000 plus visitors on site was not seen as being in the best interests for the college team, students, and families. We look forward to celebrating this event in the years to come.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN (National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy) Testing for Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 students is scheduled to occur nationally in the testing window of Tuesday 10th May to Friday 20th May. We believe that most testing will be completed by the Monday 16th May with only catch up sessions for students who were absent during the official test time. This week all students have participated in some practice testing sessions. The only purpose of these practice tests is to familiarise all – teachers and students alike -  with the online testing environment. To date these have gone very well and students may like to do some additional practice at home through the NAPLAN demonstration site here https://www.nap.edu.au/online-assessment/public-demonstration-site

For further information and FAQ’s regarding this national assessment please visit the NAPLAN website here https://www.nap.edu.au/naplan.

Seasons for Growth - Grief and Loss Education Program

Calvary Christian School is pleased to be able to offer Seasons for Growth program and we are confident that it will be a valuable learning experience for those who request to be involved. This program is for those students who actually have experienced loss and grief in some form or other.  Only students in Years 10 – 12 are invited to attend at this time.

Our Seasons for Growth Program will commence at Calvary in Week 2 of Term 2 and will conclude at the end of Week 9.  Mr Gavin Prentice (Student Welfare Officer) is a qualified trainer and will facilitate the program. If you think your son or daughter would benefit from Seasons for Growth, we would encourage you to talk to them about this.  Should they decide to participate, please complete the online form via the link below by Friday, 22nd April 2022.
