Cancellation of the Calvary Fair
After careful consideration, the college has decided to cancel the spring fair this year. Whilst this is disappointing, the decision was made in the best interests of the Calvary Community, and principally the college team. Due to COVID 19 there has been many difficulties managing significant numbers of personnel away and inviting 7000 plus visitors on site was not seen as being in the best interests for the college team, students, and families. We look forward to celebrating this event in the years to come.

NAPLAN
NAPLAN (National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy) Testing for Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 students is scheduled to occur nationally in the testing window of Tuesday 10th May to Friday 20th May. We believe that most testing will be completed by the Monday 16th May with only catch up sessions for students who were absent during the official test time. This week all students have participated in some practice testing sessions. The only purpose of these practice tests is to familiarise all – teachers and students alike - with the online testing environment. To date these have gone very well and students may like to do some additional practice at home through the NAPLAN demonstration site here https://www.nap.edu.au/online-assessment/public-demonstration-site
For further information and FAQ’s regarding this national assessment please visit the NAPLAN website here https://www.nap.edu.au/naplan.
