As we move through Term 3 there is certainly no shortage of activity! Camps, performances, excursions and special events quickly fill the calendar, and with each opportunity comes planning, preparation and a great deal of coordination for families.

While these events are exciting for our students, they simply would not be possible without the partnership of our parents and caregivers.

This past week our Year 6 students returned from camp with stories of challenge, laughter, teamwork and growth. Behind every student was a family who carefully read the information, packed bags, completed paperwork, contributed financially and perhaps most significantly entrusted us with what is most precious to them – their child. Because of that partnership our students experienced a week that helped build independence, resilience, and lasting memories.

In the weeks ahead our Prep to Year 6 Primary Musical will see every student play an important part. Families are helping children learn lines and songs, organising costumes, reading communications and juggling busy schedules to attend performances. The excitement our students feel when they look out and see their families in the audience is something truly special.

Book Week is another wonderful example. Behind every creative costume is often a parent, grandparent or caregiver who has spent time searching for ideas, making costumes or helping bring a favourite book character to life. The joy on our students’ faces as they proudly parade with their classmates remind us that these moments become treasured memories.

These are just a few examples from a busy term, yet they all point to the same truth: the best outcomes for children happen when home and school work together.

The Apostle Paul wrote,

“I thank my God every time I remember you…because of your partnership...”

Philippians 1:3-5

Those words reflect our hearts perfectly.

To every parent, grandparent and caregiver, thank you. Thank you for reading another email, completing another permission form, finding another costume, driving to another event, cheering from the audience and encouraging your child to embrace each opportunity. We know that life is full and that these commitments often require significant time, flexibility, and sacrifice.

Together we are creating experiences that help our students learn, grow in confidence, character, faith and community. It is a privilege to work alongside such a supportive school community, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us each day.
