Welcome back to Term 3! I hope each of you enjoyed a refreshing break and are ready for the exciting opportunities the second half of this year brings.

We begin by warmly welcoming our new Business Manager, Mr Mike Stipis, to the Calvary Education team. We are blessed to have him join us and look forward to the wisdom and leadership he will bring to our community.

Early yesterday morning, our Year 6 students and their 10 brave adult supervisors, headed off to Canberra! With predicted temperatures of between -2 and 13 degrees our North Queensland crew will face several challenges! It’s an incredible opportunity for learning and discovery. Keep an eye on our social media channels for photos and stories from their journey.

Last week’s Professional Development was a wonderful time of learning and collaboration for the entire team. Our focus on quality education, personal and corporate wellbeing, and preparing for the busy term ahead reminded us of the shared mission we have in shaping not just minds, but hearts.

And don’t miss our Secondary College Musical – School of Rock, hitting the stage this coming Thursday and Friday! Tickets are selling fast, so grab yours and come along to celebrate the incredible talent and hard work of our students and staff. It promises to be a show full of energy, humour, and heart!

As we move into term 3 — full of activity, growth, and service — may we be encouraged by the words from Jesus in Matthew 25:21:

“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.”

My personal goal is to be faithful in the little things, steady in my purpose, and generous in my service to others. My hope is that this becomes true in the heart of all our community. May this term be marked by strength, joy, and a renewed commitment to walk worthy of the calling we’ve received.
