Celebrating a term full of growth and achievement

As we come to the close of another rich and productive term, it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the many experiences our students have enjoyed.

Our Cattle Show Team finished their season with an end-of-season BBQ – a well-deserved time to reflect on their achievements and the friendships built along the way. Congratulations also to our students who participated in many of the musical and vocal sections of the Townsville Eisteddfod, representing our College with skill and creativity.

Our Year 5 camp was a highlight for many, providing students with opportunities to grow in independence, teamwork, and resilience. We also celebrated English Week in the Secondary College, which celebrated a love of reading, writing, and storytelling across the school.

During NAIDOC Week, we were privileged to welcome special guests from Shalom College who helped our students engage meaningfully with Indigenous culture, history, and perspectives.

This term we have again engaged with Amie and Wade Coop of Head, Heart, Hands Parenting and Education. This program helps students think carefully about healthy relationships, respect, and wise decision-making in an age-appropriate and values-based way. A special thank you to Amie and Wade for their ongoing support of this important work in our College.

We also celebrate our little people in the Early Learning Centre, who have been growing, learning, and exploring with curiosity and joy. Their enthusiasm for discovery reminds us of the importance of nurturing every stage of learning. For the upcoming holidays, our OSHC program has an exciting range of activities planned to keep students engaged, active, and having fun in a safe environment.

It’s also wonderful to see the growth and learning happening across Eaton College, where students are making significant progress academically, socially, and emotionally. The dedication of our teachers and the curiosity of our students is leading to an inspiring term of achievements and development.

As part of our commitment to student growth, parent-teacher interviews provide an excellent opportunity to celebrate progress and discuss next steps. Primary interviews are taking place this week, and Secondary interviews will be held in week 1 of next term. We encourage all families to participate and engage in this valuable feedback process.

As we step into the holiday break, I encourage all families to take time to rest, restore, and stay safe. These pauses are valuable for recharging so that we return refreshed and ready for the final quarter of the school year.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership in the growth and education of our young people. We look forward to finishing the year well, together.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” - Isaiah 40:31
