A Joyful Sprint to the Finish Line
A Joyful Sprint to the Finish Line
I trust you and your family enjoyed a refreshing and joy-filled break. As we begin this final term of the year, there’s a wonderful sense of anticipation across the College — with much to celebrate, look forward to, and give thanks for.
One of the most exciting milestones is the opening of our brand-new Calvary Prep building — a project more than three years in the making! Our current Prep students are thrilled to spend their final term of the year in this beautiful new space designed especially for early learners. We thank God for His faithfulness in bringing this long-awaited vision to life. A special thanks to our Project manager, Mr James Walter and our friends from Gabrielli Constructions – an outstanding example of a purpose built facility.
There’s plenty happening right across the College community in the coming weeks. Our Year 4 students have enjoyed their overnight camp adventure, while our Year 10 students will soon be heading out on work experience — both wonderful opportunities for learning, growth, and confidence building.
Our Secondary Parent-Teacher Interviews were very well attended, and we thank all our Calvary families for your ongoing partnership in supporting your children’s learning and wellbeing. Meanwhile, our Prep to Year 2 students have begun their swimming lessons, an exciting highlight of the Term 4 calendar, that will build not only skills but confidence that will stand them in good stead for their life.
As we move through the term, there are many moments of celebration ahead — our Secondary Awards Ceremony, Year 12 external exams, and the special end-of-school events including Graduation and the Final Chapel forour year 12 students. These mark not only the completion of studies but the beginning of new seasons for our students.
We’re also welcoming future students and families through our Ignite (Prep 2026) and Unite (Year 7 2026) transition events — important times that set the tone for the next generation of Calvary learners.
After 12 years of dedicated service, we farewell our IT Manager, Matthew Laguna. Over the years, Matt has played an integral role in shaping and supporting the College’s technology systems, ensuring our team and students were always well-equipped for learning in a digital world. His calm expertise, problem-solving spirit, and willingness to help have been deeply appreciated by all. We thank Matt for his outstanding contribution to Calvary and wish him every blessing and success in the next chapter of his journey.
It’s a busy but very exciting eight weeks ahead, and I want to sincerely thank all our families for your continued support, encouragement, and faith in what we do together. I look forward to seeing you throughout the term as we celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students.
As we embark on this final stretch of the school year, may we be reminded of this encouragement from Philippians 1:6 (NIV):
“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
May we continue to walk in faith, gratitude, and purpose — finishing the year strong, together.
Blessings,
Robyn Hair
