A great start gets even better!
Week 3 has seen the College truly humming as students and staff continue to settle into the rhythm of the year. There is a strong sense of purpose across our campuses, with classrooms buzzing, relationships forming, and learning well underway. It has been a joy to see our community embracing the year with enthusiasm and positivity.
In the Primary College, our student leaders have made a fantastic start. They are being encouraged and intentionally trained in leadership skills, learning what it means to serve others, take responsibility, and lead with humility. These early experiences are shaping confident young leaders who reflect our values in action.
Meanwhile, the Secondary College is settling well into the groove of a new timetable and the expectations of a new academic year. Students are adjusting positively, learning to build healthy routines, and engaging with their learning as they step into new subjects, challenges, and opportunities.
We were delighted to host our New Families Afternoon Tea, which was a wonderful success. It was a pleasure to welcome new families into our community, share stories, and begin building the strong partnerships that are so vital to student wellbeing and success. Thank you to all who helped make this event such a warm and welcoming occasion.
As we move forward, we remind families and students of the importance of uniform expectations and a shared commitment to learning. These expectations reflect our College values of Excellence and Respect—respect for ourselves, for one another, and for the learning environment, and excellence in how we present ourselves and approach our work each day.
This week also brings excitement and celebration with our Swimming Carnivals. These events are a wonderful expression of our College culture, providing opportunities to encourage one another, participate with joy, and demonstrate sportsmanship and community spirit.
At the heart of all we do is our commitment to academic excellence and our vision to graduate young people of strong Christian character—young people who are equipped to do good in a world that can be messy and confusing at times. We seek to develop students who think deeply, act wisely, love generously, and live with purpose, grounded in faith and guided by God’s truth.
As Scripture reminds us: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”Matthew 5:16
We thank God for a strong start to the year and look forward with confidence to all that lies ahead.
God Bless,
